Start Your Campfire

My family and I love to make fires for roasting marshmallows, keeping warm at a campsite, or just for fun. Where we live it is frequently damp which makes it more difficult and time consuming to start a fire. I was looking for a product that we could use to help start a fire and still be safe to cook over. The product I found is Earth-Friendly Rapid Fire Fire Starter.

These fire starters come in a pack of 10. They are honestly not much to look at. They are paper packets with instructions on the back of each packet. Each packet is just over 5 1/4 inches wide by 6 3/4 inches long. They weigh about 1.4 ounces each.

You can start your campfire easily with these little packets. You set them down where you want to build your fire and light the corners with a match or lighter. It takes about 30 seconds for the entire pouch to go up in flames. When the entire pouch is lit you can start adding your wood or charcoal. My firewood is never as dry as I would like so it does take a little while to get it started, but the fire starter lasts long enough to start even my damp fire wood. If for some reason your fire starter packet gets wet you can open it and remove the package and directly light the inside filler material.

I think these packets are really cool. They make a decent fire. They don't have a nasty smell like you get when you use lighter fluid to start a fire. They are safe for cooking, which is one of the biggest benefits for me. If you camp often these are great. They are also nice for starting fires in your fire pit
or fireplace.

You can buy these fire starters on amazon, here.

I received a discount on this product in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
